This is where you'll excel

• Develop novel ALD coating processes for optics and photonics applications
• Initiate and contribute to the design and specification of new coating equipment
• Demonstrate ALD machine capabilities through targeted demo coatings for customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
• Author technical publications and present development results at conferences or symposia
• Support Sales in the market introduction of new coating products and solutions
• Plan and execute R&D projects, public funding projects, and external collaborations-from application through completion, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance

These are the skills you'll need

• PhD (or equivalent) in technical or natural Sciences, preferably in Chemistry
• Severals years of working experience in plasma enhanced ALD and CVD
• Expertise in the operation of ALD / CVD reactors
• Ideally knowledge in the design and deposition of complex interference filters
• Business fluent English, German language skills are of advantage
• An independent way of working as well as willingness to travel worldwide
